In 2005 a new development direction was established within Special Technologies —diamond-like coatings. Having overcome a difficult path in establishing a technology that was new for the Russian market, this direction has been steadily growing year by year. Today the services of the company's production center, which is located near Yekaterinburg, are utilized by dozens of different production enterprises, each one of which solves their specific tasks by using DLC coatings: machine building plants and tool manufacturers, medical appliance production, promotional merchandise and corporate image products. DLC films are deposited using several production units (2013 a total modernization of the equipment) in accordance with the requirements of the national standard of the Russian Federation "Diamond-Based Nanocoatings for Cutting Tools". We also perform quality control of the applied coatings.

In each practical case there is a need for special consultation for the optimal choice of a diamond-like coating. Our experience gained through the years of working in this field allows our specialists to select the coating thickness to successfully meet the customer requirements (for example, in terms of correlation between thickness and surface roughness).
